There were too many graduands for just the May ceremony this year so we took part in the November one as well! This time we had Kaavya and Cuong graduating with their PhDs – both very happy indeed (as you can imagine) and both heading off for postdoctoral positions. Well, actually they both started their positions some time ago – Kaavya with Jacqui Gulbis at the WEHI in Melbourne – working on membrane protein structural biology, and Cuong at UNSW working with Paul Curmi on a probable RNA-binding protein. Fingers crossed for some good data for both of them…
