Wentworth Falls walk with Peggy Farnham Dec 2013

Peggy Farnham and her husband Charlie Nicolet – from USC in Los Angeles – were in Australia in December 2013 to speak at the Australian Epigenetics conference in Port Stephens, so Joel invited them to spend a day in the Blue Mountains. The three of them walked the classic Wentworth Falls circuit, starting at Wentworth Falls and heading down, down, down to Vera Falls, then back up Valley of the Waters and back via the Shortcut track. Highlights included a lot of water in the waterfalls and a fresh water crayfish spotted by Peggy. They then camped at Euroka Clearing, where the visitors were very excited to see kangeroos and kookaburras. Several things were able to be ticked off the “what to see in Australia” list!
